Steven Fazzi

Steven Fazzi

Mather, California

Steven Fazzi was born in the Bay Area but has spent all his adult life in or near the Sacramento area. After acquiring his Master’s Degree from California State University, Sacramento (and teaching two semesters of a public speaking course as a Graduate Assistant to business students), he surprised his professors and members of his family by electing to attend law school rather than pursuing a Ph.D.  He believed (and still believes) his research, writing, and advocacy interests and skillset are best served and deployed in the legal field.

Steven went to law school at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. During his time in law school, he studied abroad (in Guatemala and in Austria) and served on the McGeorge Law Review as a Legislative Review and Comment staff member and later editor. In 2013, Steven’s article “A Primer on California's 2011 Corrections Realignment: Why California Placed Felons Under County Control” was published in Volume 44, Issue 2 of the McGeorge Law Review. Steven also participated in an Immigration clinic designed to service the Sacramento community.

Steven joined Hackard Law in April 2016. He has performed various roles while working with Mike Hackard and the rest of his team, from conducting client intake and drafting court documents to making court appearances. Today, Steven’s primary responsibility is to handle the firm’s Probate Estate Administration matters and assist or lead Trust Administration matters. Steven also supports the firm’s litigation side by, for example, drafting timelines, memos, petitions, and complaints, drafting and answering correspondence, defending depositions, and performing document management functions. He enjoys being able to serve clients in need within the community, and to help Hackard Law any way he can.
