This year's Hackard Law Academic Scholarship Contest posed the question, "What will you do to improve the lives of the elderly in your community?" Our choice of topic is not accidental - after all, our firm is focused on estate and trust litigation, often in connection with issues like elder financial abuse. Part of our mission is protecting seniors from harm, so we looked to award the prize to a student committed to the wellbeing of elders.
For this year's Hackard Law Academic Scholarship contest, we asked you to talk on video about the elder who's been most influential in your life.
Our 2017 Hackard Law Academic Scholarship contest was a great success - this year we had nearly 300 contestants who submitted their applications. I want thank each and every one of you who put your time and energy into participating. It's a blessing to know there are so many students in our country who are a credit to their families and their communities.
