Happy New Year from Hackard Law | New Challenges in 2026

I’m Mike Hackard from Hackard Law. 2025 was quite a year, and we can reflect on its ups and downs as well as special moments for each of us.

And now we can look forward to 2026, a chance to start anew. The country singer Brad Paisley put it this way: “Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365-page book. Write a good one.”

At Hackard Law, we’ll be starting our new year representing new trust and estate beneficiaries who need a fighting chance against wrongdoers: it could be bad trustees misappropriating trust assets, hostile stepmothers using undue influence to disinherit biological children, caregivers who have hijacked estates from rightful heirs, or predatory conservatorships draining family wealth. It takes a lot to surprise us, and we’ll be ready for the challenges that 2026 will bring.

So that’s the book that we’ll be writing: helping heirs and beneficiaries recover their rightful inheritance and protecting family legacies. And to make that happen, contingency fees will continue to play a pivotal role in enabling our clients to pursue justice and reach a fair settlement.
