I’m Mike Hackard with Hackard Law. Growing up, I remember seeing lawyers on television dramas and still watch some current shows centered around the law.
So, in this series on my favorite TV lawyers, I’ll start with the classic legal drama Perry Mason, which ran from 1957 to 1966. Brilliant defense attorney Perry Mason is known for his uncanny ability to uncover the truth and clear his clients of serious charges.
Set in Los Angeles, the show follows Mason as he tackles complex criminal cases, often involving murder, and uses his sharp intellect and investigative skills to expose the real perpetrators in dramatic courtroom confrontations. With his trusted secretary Della Street and private investigator Paul Drake by his side, Mason’s relentless pursuit of justice highlights his commitment to legal ethics and his deep sense of morality.
Raymond Burr, who played Perry Mason, even visited my law school the year before I graduated, and I was fortunate to meet him in person.
