We are excited to announce that our firm, Hackard Law, will be offering a scholarship opportunity! Our Cognitive Care Scholarship centers around the study of brain injury rehabilitation, and is open to students nationwide. Here at Hackard Law, we hope to uplift and empower the next generation of students by encouraging them to pursue their educational goals. We are thrilled to support a student’s academic journey through this scholarship initiative, helping to alleviate financial constraints and enable their continued success.
As this is the first time we are offering this scholarship, we eagerly anticipate hearing from students who are studying and are in pursuit of finding innovative solutions to traumatic brain injuries. We invite students to reflect on recent advancements in brain injury technologies and to share their insights on how these rehabilitation techniques can improve the quality of life of those affected by brain injuries.
We are looking forward to receiving applications from driven students who share Hackard Law’s compassion for brain injury rehabilitation. We will accept applications until May 31, 2025.
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility
- The Cognitive Care Scholarship is open to all high school seniors, vocational students, college students, and all students in higher education that will be enrolled in a post-secondary institution for the school semester of Fall 2025.
- This is a nationwide scholarship, open to all students who are a legal resident of the United States, you must be currently living in the U.S. to qualify.
- To ensure fairness, all employees of Hackard Law, their families and household members are not allowed to apply to this scholarship.
- Applicants should be in good academic standing and have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher.

- The candidate must submit a 750 word essay response to the prompt:
- Explore recent advancements in brain injury rehabilitation techniques or technologies. How do these innovations contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by brain injuries?
- Please note that all essays will be checked for AI writing. If AI writing is deemed present in the essay, the application will be denied.
- The candidate must submit a professional resumé that lists their experience, both professional and academic.
- The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, as well as the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students can submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.
- Preference will be given to students either from or attending secondary school in the state.
